Sacred Symbols and the Subconscious: Temple of Seti I in Abydos, Egypt

My recent journey to Egypt was intense. At times, I felt like my mind was going to explode. We visited over 14 sites in 12 days.

One of the most powerful things we can work with, in addition to the breath, is the images we hold in our mind's eye. Visiting all these temples left me flooded with images racing through my inner vision like a torrent.

Occult information skillfully represented in the Tarot depicts the power of this ability to imprint what is desired into the subconscious, which is connected to the higher self and ultimately to God. (Tarot depicts the journey to the Christ, the superhuman attainment that is our eventual incarnated outcome after many, many lifetimes.) The difference here is that the images are all laid out in hieroglyphs, a language that is deep in all our DNA. Stories, spells, archetypal images, and ancient memories all exposed on massive stone structures, eliciting the imagination, the unbounded power of the human spirit, and a connection with technology that has been forgotten until now.

At one point on the trip, I was guided to stand under a beam of light at Abydos, as I stepped into that beam and felt it touch my third eye, everything else faded. All the images, all the noise, all the mind's chatter—gone. In that moment, I saw Osiris on the throne, and with him, a deep stillness. It felt like an ancient voice saying, “Remember who you are.”

Each of us received our own unique symbol, and I saw the same flash of awe in my companions' eyes as we shared these gifts—a reminder that we’re all walking this journey, each guided by the same light.

I walked away from that temple filled with gratitude, sensing a shift that I could feel in my bones. As I reflect on it now, much like the Tarot, this image inspires me to grow and expand into my ownership of my gifts for the benefit of all. Carrying this feeling of remembering forward.
