Energy Healing for Grief and Loss

Sekhem energy healing for grief and loss on the Big Island or online. A slow, channeled session that holds space for what talk alone does not reach.

Grief does not stay in one place. It moves through the chest, the throat, the gut, shows up as exhaustion that sleep does not fix, as a fog that makes ordinary tasks feel heavy. Some people want to talk through loss. Others reach a point where words have said what they can say, and what is left is something more physical, more energetic, that talk has not touched.

Sekhem is where Jason meets people at that point. It is a 90 minute session, 222 dollars, online, or in person by request, built around channeled energy work rather than conversation. You rest. He works.

How a session holds grief

Sekhem works through two points: the soul chakra, about twelve inches above the head, which Jason describes as holding the record of every lifetime, and the earth chakra, about twelve inches below the feet, which grounds. For grief specifically, that combination matters. Loss can leave a person feeling unmoored, disconnected from their own body, and the earth chakra work is, in part, about bringing someone back down into themselves while the soul-level work makes room for whatever needs to move.

The session begins with grounding, easing into deep relaxation and presence. Then the energy itself, hands over the body, often with sound, vibration, sage, cedar, and Egyptian oils from Jason's Sekhem lineage. He describes himself as a channel rather than the source of the work. "I am merely the channel. They do the work." Afterward, a period to journal, then a debrief where he shares what came through and you share what surfaced for you, often closing with a card pull for confirmation.

What people have described afterward

Experiences with Sekhem vary from person to person. Clients have described feelings of deep relaxation, warmth, emotional release, greater clarity, peacefulness, and a stronger sense of connection with themselves. Some people also describe physical sensations or shifts during or following a session. These experiences are personal and are not presented as expected or guaranteed outcomes. Jason is also honest that not every difficult feeling is meant to be resolved quickly. Sometimes the grief itself is the path someone is walking, and the work is to be with it rather than remove it.

If you are early in loss

Fresh grief can feel disorienting in the body before the mind has caught up. A Sekhem session does not ask you to explain or narrate what happened. You do not need the right words. The work is receptive rather than verbal, which some people find easier to access than talk therapy in the first weeks or months after a loss.

The role of ritual in a session

Grief often loses its rituals once the funeral or memorial has passed and everyday life resumes around it. A Sekhem session restores some of that structure: the sage and cedar mark a clear beginning, the Egyptian oils from Jason's lineage bring a tactile, sensory element to a process that can otherwise feel abstract, and the closing card pull offers a small, concrete marker of what the session held. For many people grieving, having a dedicated, repeatable ritual space to return to is part of what makes the work useful over time, not just the single session itself.

Some clients return monthly or around significant dates, an anniversary, a birthday, the season a loss happened in, using the session as an anchor point rather than a one-time event. Others come once, when something specific has surfaced, and that is equally valid.

A note on care

Energy work is complementary care. It is not a treatment for complicated grief, depression, or any diagnosable condition, and it does not replace counseling or medical support. If grief has become overwhelming or you are struggling to function, please also reach out to a grief counselor or your doctor. If you are in crisis, call or text 988 (US) for the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline.

Frequently asked questions

Is a Sekhem session the same as a grief counseling session?

No. There is no talk therapy component. It is an energy healing session, resting while Jason does channeled work, followed by a short debrief. Many clients use it alongside counseling, not instead of it.

How soon after a loss can I book a session?

Whenever feels right to you. Some people come within days of a loss, others years later when something resurfaces. There is no right timing.

What if I cry or feel a lot of emotion during the session?

That is expected and held gently. Jason works slowly and stays present throughout.

Does this work for anticipatory grief, before a loss has happened?

Yes, many clients come while caring for a dying loved one or bracing for an expected loss. The session can offer grounding during that period too.

How is this different from breathwork for grief?

Sekhem is quieter and more receptive, you rest while Jason works. Breathwork for grief is more active, using guided breath to move emotion through the body. Some people choose one, some do both at different points.

Can I bring something of the person I lost to the session?

Yes. A photo, a piece of jewelry, or another meaningful object can be part of the intention you set together at the start, and some clients find it helps them feel closer to what the session is holding space for.
