About Jason

Does Jason hold a clinical therapy license?

No. Jason is pre-licensed in marriage and family therapy, holding an MA in the field and a BA in Psychology from the University of Hawai'i at Hilo. He does not hold a clinical therapy license, and his energy work and mentoring complement, but do not replace, professional mental health care.

Does Jason practice Reiki?

No. Jason practices Sekhem, an older Egyptian-lineage energy healing tradition related to Reiki but distinct from it. See Sekhem vs Reiki for the full comparison.

Where is Jason based?

Hawaiian Paradise Park, near Keaʻau, a short drive up on Hwy 130 on the Puna side of Hawaiʻi Island. Online sessions are the main way to work with Jason right now, and he meets people in person by request.

Sekhem energy healing

What is Sekhem?

Sekhem is an Egyptian-lineage energy healing practice, sometimes called Egyptian Reiki, working through the soul chakra and the earth chakra. Jason is a certified master Sekhem practitioner, trained in the lineage of Juliet Carillo and her teacher Gamal. Read the full Sekhem energy healing page.

What happens in a Sekhem session?

Grounding and intention setting, then channeled hands-over-body energy work, sound and vibration, sage, cedar, and Egyptian oils, followed by a return, journaling, and a debrief where Jason shares what came through.

How long does the work last after a session?

Jason says the work often continues for days to a week. Experiences with Sekhem vary from person to person. Clients have described feelings of deep relaxation, warmth, emotional release, greater clarity, peacefulness, and a stronger sense of connection with themselves. These experiences are personal, and Jason does not present them as expected outcomes.

Galactic Breathing

What is Galactic Breathing?

Jason's own breathwork method, inspired by Wim Hof and Stan Grof breathwork and shaped by years of distance running and meditation. He did not train with either of them and is not certified in Holotropic Breathwork. It runs 90 minutes through light movement, guided meditation, and three rounds of breath. Is breathwork safe?

Sessions are gentle, with no screaming or forcing. Eat and drink lightly for about an hour beforehand. It complements, but does not replace, medical or mental health care.

Do I need breathwork experience before my first session?

No. "The first round is all most people will need." Jason works with complete beginners regularly.

Tarot readings

How does Jason read tarot differently from a typical reading?

"I read as a healer." Sessions open by tuning into your galactic self, then move through a general spread before your specific questions. It is not fortune telling and does not aim to prove psychic ability.

Is the reading recorded?

Yes. Tarot and Energy Signature Readings are live online and recorded, 45 minutes, so you can revisit it afterward.

Spirit Guidance Mentoring

What is Spirit Guidance Mentoring?

Weekly one hour sessions where Jason serves as an external guide to help you remember your own internal guidance, working with the felt sense and the inner witness. It starts with a free 20 minute intro call.

Who is mentoring for?

Anyone truly ready to commit to change. It is open to everyone, not limited to a specific background or spiritual framework.

Booking, pricing, and logistics

How much do sessions cost?

Galactic Breathing and Sekhem are each 222 USD for 90 minutes. Tarot readings are 144 USD for 45 minutes. The mentoring intro call is free. The 4 week Journey is 688 USD and the 8 week Journey is 1,222 USD. Weekly mentoring is priced on request after the intro call. Full pricing is on the pricing page.

Can I book an online session if I'm not on the Big Island?

Yes. All of Jason's core services are available online worldwide, and online is the main way to work with him right now. In person sessions are available by request: reach out and Jason will confirm. Galactic Breathing and Sekhem in person take place at his small studio in Hawaiian Paradise Park at 10am, 11am or noon (it gets hot after 2pm), or he can travel to a home by arrangement during regular business hours, easily within a 25 mile radius.
