Ancient Egyptian energy healing

Sekhem

The power of powers. The first power. The energy that arose at the instant of creation, heat, light and fire, like the life-giving sun. The central sun that resides in us all.

90 minutes, 222 USD. Online, or in person by request. Distance does not weaken the work.

What Sekhem is

Soul-level, not surface-level

Sekhem is an ancient Egyptian healing art, often called Egyptian Reiki. It was practiced by the healers and physicians of the mystery school times, and it is considered the first energy, the power of powers. It works through the soul chakra, about twelve inches above the head, and the earth chakra, about twelve inches below the feet. The soul chakra holds everything experienced in every lifetime, much like the Akashic records. The earth chakra is our grounding and our connection to the elemental earth.

The energies of Sekhem are known as the Neteru. In a deeper galactic understanding they are cosmic archetypal energies, our star brothers and sisters, which is why the Egyptians depicted them as animals: Horus the falcon, Sekhmet the lion, Thoth the ibis. "I am merely the channel. I was told all I need to do is show up, and they do the work."

Each session is unique. Whichever Neteru steps forward most prominently is the one your soul is ready to work with, while all remain in attendance.

How it differs from Reiki

Sekhem is a channeling of energy similar to Reiki, but it is focused much more multidimensionally, at a soul or monadic level. You are working not only with this life, but with past, future and parallel lives, all at once. Jason's sessions also weave in breathwork, psychological training, sound and vibration, so each one is highly intuitive and primarily channeled.

What clients describe

Experiences with Sekhem vary from person to person. Clients have described feelings of deep relaxation, warmth, emotional release, greater clarity, peacefulness, and a stronger sense of connection with themselves. Some people also describe physical sensations or shifts during or following a session. These experiences are personal and are not presented as expected or guaranteed outcomes.

Energy work is complementary and is not a substitute for medical care.

Sekhem and Reiki

If you came here looking for Reiki

You are in the right place. Sekhem and Reiki are family. Both are a channeling of universal life force energy through the hands of a practitioner, and both leave people deeply relaxed and more at peace. Jason primarily practices Sekhem, the older Egyptian lineage, and here is how it compares.

Where it works. Reiki is known for the physical and energetic body. Sekhem works through the soul chakra and earth chakra, at the soul level.
Across time. Sekhem reaches past, future and parallel lives at once, not only this lifetime.
The source. Sekhem is described as the first energy, connected to the star beings the Egyptians called the Neteru.
The goal. Not only relief, but raising your level of consciousness so your life starts to change around you.

Jason is a certified master Sekhem practitioner. He does not claim a Reiki master title.

How a session flows
Before. The work begins when you book. Dreams and meaningful moments often show up in the days before.
Arrive. We connect, share what has shifted, and set the intention.
Ground. Gentle guidance into the body, the present moment and deep relaxation.
Channel. The energy is channeled, often with sound and vibration.
Return. Time to journal what came through for you.
Debrief. Jason shares what came through on his end, and we pull a couple of cards for confirmation and support.
After. The work often continues for a couple of days, or even a week.

"Immediately, I noticed the high regard that he holds his sessions in. He was timely, thoughtful, centered, and balanced. I felt his strong connection to his guides as well as my own, which allowed a powerful magick to flow through our session. The session was very healing and activating. Afterwards, I felt grounded, balanced and in a deep state of peace. I felt like all of the different aspects of my being had come home, safely in my body."

In depth

Inside a Sekhem Energy Healing session

To be direct about it first: Jason practices Sekhem, not Reiki. Sekhem is an older Egyptian-lineage energy tradition, often described as Egyptian Reiki because the two share a family resemblance, but Jason is a certified master Sekhem practitioner and does not hold or claim a Reiki master title. If you want the full side by side, read Sekhem versus Reiki.

Where Sekhem comes from

Sekhem was practiced by healers and physicians in ancient Egypt, in what Jason calls the mystery school times, before the historical record most people are taught. He describes it as "the first energy, the power of powers," the same current the Egyptians associated with the moment of creation itself: heat, light, fire, the central sun that Jason says resides in each of us.

Jason's own training traces back through Juliet Carillo, whose teacher is Gamal, a fifth generation alchemist in Egypt known for his Egyptian oils. Jason uses those oils in session. He has practiced Sekhem for about 5 years, alongside 20 plus years working in energy and somatic modalities overall.

How it works, in his words

Sekhem moves through two points most people have never been taught to notice. The soul chakra sits roughly 12 inches above the head and, in Jason's description, holds the record of everything a soul has experienced across every lifetime, similar in function to what's called the Akashic records. The earth chakra sits roughly 12 inches below the feet and grounds the work, the connection to the elemental earth itself.

The energies channeled in a session are called the Neteru, the Egyptian gods and goddesses. Jason frames them as cosmic archetypal energies, star family, rather than mythology: Horus the falcon, Sekhmet the lion, Thoth the ibis, Anubis as a way-shower of the inner world. Which Neteru comes forward changes session to session, based on what a person's soul is ready to work with. "I am merely the channel," Jason says. "They do the work."

Because the work operates at what Jason calls a soul or monadic level, it reaches further than a single lifetime: past, future and parallel lives, all engaged at once rather than in sequence. That's the core distinction from Reiki, which tends to stay closer to the physical and energetic body in this life.

What a session is like

The work often starts before you arrive. Once a session is booked, Jason says dreams and meaningful moments tend to surface in the days leading up to it, and the first part of the session is simply talking through whatever showed up.

From there: connecting and setting an intention together, then grounding into deep relaxation, gentle guidance into the present moment and the body. The channeled energy work itself follows, hands over the body, often layered with sound and vibration. Jason also brings in sage, cedar and the Egyptian oils from his lineage. Because his background spans breathwork and psychological training too, a Sekhem session with Jason often weaves those in rather than staying purely energetic.

After the channeling, there's a return: time to come back into the room and journal whatever surfaced internally. Then a debrief, where Jason shares what came through on his end, and together you pull a couple of cards for confirmation. He notes the work frequently keeps unfolding for days afterward, sometimes up to a week.

What clients have reported

Experiences with Sekhem vary from person to person. Clients have described feelings of deep relaxation, warmth, emotional release, greater clarity, peacefulness, and a stronger sense of connection with themselves. Some people also describe physical sensations or shifts during or following a session. These experiences are personal and are not presented as expected or guaranteed outcomes.

Deepa Lamb, who works as a tarot and Akashic record reader herself, said: "He was timely, thoughtful, centered and balanced, very present, and answered all of my questions intuitively. The session was very healing and activating. Afterwards, I felt grounded, balanced and in a deep state of peace. I felt like all of the different aspects of my being had come home, safely in my body."

Jason is direct that this is complementary work, not a substitute for medical care. He's also said plainly that some things aren't meant to be removed in a session, because the process of carrying something is sometimes the healing itself. Energy work here supports, it doesn't diagnose or treat a condition.

How Sekhem differs from Reiki

Both are a channeling of universal life force energy through the practitioner's hands, and both tend to leave people deeply relaxed. The differences show up in scope and source. Reiki generally works with the physical and energetic body in the present life. Sekhem works through the soul chakra and earth chakra at a soul level, reaching past, future and parallel lives at once. Reiki's lineage traces through Japanese tradition; Sekhem's traces through ancient Egypt and the Neteru, described by Jason as star family rather than deities in the conventional sense. Where Reiki tends to aim at relief and relaxation, Jason describes Sekhem's aim as broader: raising the level of consciousness a person operates from, so life starts shifting around them, not just in the room.

Who this is for, and who it isn't

Sekhem works for people carrying something they can feel but can't quite name, people already doing inner work who want a session that reaches deeper than the physical body, and people drawn to Egyptian lineage or star family language specifically. It is not a diagnostic tool, not a replacement for medical or mental health treatment, and not the right fit for someone looking for a guaranteed physical outcome. Anyone in crisis should call or text 988 before booking a session of any kind.

How to prepare

No special preparation is required. Come as you are, ideally without a packed schedule right after, since the work can continue unfolding for days. If anything unusual surfaces in dreams or daily life after you book, that's expected, not a sign something's wrong. Sessions run 90 minutes, 222 USD, online, or in person by request, and distance does not weaken the work.

Frequently asked questions

Is Sekhem the same thing as Reiki?

No. Sekhem is related to Reiki, both channel universal life force energy, but Jason practices the older Egyptian lineage specifically. He is a certified master Sekhem practitioner and does not hold a Reiki master title. See the full comparison at Sekhem versus Reiki.

What are the Neteru?

The Neteru are the Egyptian gods and goddesses, understood here as cosmic archetypal energies and star family rather than mythological figures. Different Neteru show up for different people depending on what their soul is ready to work with.

Does this treat or resolve a medical condition?

No. Sekhem is complementary energy work, not a medical treatment. Clients describe relief and shifts in how they feel, but this does not diagnose or treat any condition, and it does not replace medical or mental health care.

How long do the effects last?

Jason says the work often continues unfolding for a couple of days to a week after a session, as insights and shifts keep surfacing.

Can I book this online from outside Hawaii?

Yes. Sessions are 222 USD for 90 minutes online anywhere in the world or in person by request.
