Soul Origin Reading: Discover Where Your Soul Comes From

A soul origin reading is Jason Donaldson's Tarot and Energy Signature Reading, used specifically to find your galactic self: the essence that has traveled with you across lifetimes. It runs 45 minutes, live online, and is recorded so you can revisit it. The investment is 144 USD.

Jason has read tarot since 2007, after five years studying with a psychic teacher in Phoenix, Arizona. "I read as a healer," he says. "I'm not trying to predict the future or prove psychic ability exists." A soul origin reading is not fortune telling. It is a way to name the part of you that stays constant while everything else about a human life changes.

What "galactic self" means

In starseed teachings, before a soul fully separates into the experience of being human, there is an energy or essence that forms. That essence can carry through every lifetime, and it is more an essence than any one star lineage. Most people carry several star lineage connections, such as Pleiadian, Arcturian or Lyran, and any of them can come through in a session. Star Lineage is an optional add-on, offered only if you ask. Jason describes it like this: everyone is a little different even though everyone in the room is human. Your galactic self is the version of "different" that belongs to you alone.

He gives two examples from actual sessions. One client's galactic self showed up as a kind of star architect, an energy that had designed solar systems and galaxies. In this lifetime, that person is a mechanic, someone who fixes homes and understands intuitively how things are built and repaired. Another client's galactic self read as something closer to the divine spark, the force that animates a living cell. She works as an animal communicator and a geologist doing environmental cleanup and grid work. Same pattern in both cases: the galactic self and the human life rhyme with each other, even when the job title looks ordinary on paper.

What happens in the session

With your permission, Jason tunes into your higher self at the start, opening toward your galactic self specifically. From there he pulls a general spread, the kind that tends to answer most of what a client is carrying that day. After the general spread, he moves into your specific questions if you have them.

He calls these sessions healing sessions more than predictions. Some of what comes through is study and training. Some of it is channeled in the moment. Occasionally loved ones come through, and Jason works briefly as a medium, relaying what he receives both through the cards and through a felt energetic sense. The cards are a tool and a visual anchor for messages that go beyond the cards themselves.

Who this is for

Soul origin readings work for people new to this kind of work and for people who have been on a spiritual path for years. Jason can speak in the language of complex metaphysical study, or keep it plain and grounded, depending on what you need. Often, these readings confirm something a client already suspected: that they are on the right path but doubting themselves, carrying a kind of imposter syndrome about their own gifts. Nothing in the session is forced. Potentials and possibilities get named. What you choose to do with them is yours.

This reading is held live online so it works no matter where you live. In person sessions for other offerings are available by request.

What people bring to the session

There's no preparation required. Some clients arrive with a specific question weighing on them: a career decision, a relationship that feels unusually charged, a persistent sense of restlessness they can't explain. Others come with nothing more specific than curiosity, wanting to know what comes through without steering it in advance. Both are fine starting points. Jason's general spread tends to surface whatever is most relevant regardless of how the session opened, and the recording means you can sit with what came through again later, rather than trying to remember everything in the moment.

If you recognize yourself in the idea of a galactic self, you may want to look at the broader picture: what a starseed is, the signs people report, or how star family differs from soul family. If the reading opens questions about direction and purpose, Spirit Guidance Mentoring is the ongoing container Jason offers for that work. You can also read about Sekhem energy healing, which works with the soul chakra in a different way, or see all services.

Frequently asked questions

Is a soul origin reading the same as a psychic reading?

Not in the way most people mean that. Jason isn't trying to predict your future or prove psychic ability. He tunes into your higher self and galactic self and relays what comes through, using tarot as the tool and visual anchor for that information.

How long is the session and what does it cost?

It runs 45 minutes, is held live online, and is recorded so you can watch it again. The cost is 144 USD.

Will Jason tell me which starseed type I am?

He will share what comes through about your galactic self and essence, described in whatever language fits what you are ready to hear. He does not tell people what star lineage they are, and he is not running a quiz or assigning a fixed label. If you want to explore star lineage, ask, and it is best done through an experience like meditation or tarot. See the starseed quiz guide for a reflective way to think about this before your session.

What if I've never done anything like this before?

That's fine. Jason reads for beginners and for people who have studied this for decades, adjusting how he explains things either way.

Can loved ones who have passed come through in the reading?

Sometimes. Jason has worked as a medium in sessions when someone's guides or loved ones come through, and he will relay what he receives. It isn't guaranteed and isn't the stated purpose of the reading, but it does happen.
